Congratulations and Huge Thanks to Harry Moross and his team at Eton College!

Talibe Trust is extremely grateful to Harry Moross and his team from Eton College for their organisation of a TALIBE TRUST CHANNEL SWIM RELAY! Together, Harry and his team raised an amazing £4,362 for Talibe Trust, with an expected further £240 in GiftAid. We are really proud of what they have achieved, and look forward to working with them further to help the talibe cause, which, they too, are so passionate about. Thank You to Harry, Summer Archie Walker, Gordon Piedra, James Quillen, and Sam Russell, and everyone who worked towards this great event, and to those who contributed. Thank You So Much

Over the last month we have been fundraising for our October trip to site in Senegal. We are so grateful to Everyone who donated to, and got involved in our fundraising campaign. Our special thanks go to: - The Monday Probus Club of Millhouses, Sheffield - Nak Muay Legacy, Cities Collide II, courtesy of Hamdi and Amreen Karim - The Champions and Family of Wicker Camp Muay Thai Boxing Gymnasium, Sheffield - BBC Radio Sheffield - BB's Restaurant, Sheffield - and finally, but not least, you, absolutely everybody who donated to our 'gofundme' page. All your messages of support and encouragement have been amazing. Thank you so much for being with us on this journey. We all tried really hard and raised a combined total of £1346.83. Whilst we did not meet the target we needed, we've raised enough for the Agricultural Specialists to get to site to do their important work. We will continue to work hard to raise the necessary funds to see this school project through to it's completion with all the agricultural, sustainable aspects and coverage that are part of it. Gumm sa Bopp! Thank you Everybody!

Wicker Camp Sparring Event: We Smashed It, £790 Raised!

February 23, 2023

Thank You so very much to absolutely everyone who both took part in, and spectated at the Wicker Camp Muay Thai Sparring Event all for the Talibe Trust daara (school) build project. It was a great event for all the family and we raised an amazing £790.

More news for Talibe Trust. September 2016 is going to be a huge month for us. Melanie will be back in Senegal visiting the villagers of Sioure to make sure they are happy with the project and finalising site plans, she'll be getting as much information as possible to make sure we get the right irrigator pump for the land - this is a self-sustainable project and we'll need the right tools to ensure we can grow crops.

Melanie will also be in meetings to make sure that legally and financially we have the correct paperwork and details and we can go on and get busy with what's needed for the important project: let's build the school! Thank you very much for all your support!

Thank You

Thank you! A special thank you to you all, both individuals and organisations who have supported us. It is invaluable and has enabled us to step further and further into reaching our goal.

Thank you John Lewis Sheffield! They have organised a collection and have so far raised £50.12 which will buy bags of rice for the villagers of Sioure and pens for the children. The irrigator pump is still broken so rice and maize are essentials right now. Special thanks to Nunu and Sal for also donating £50 which will mean more essentials to keep the villagers going, thank you.

There are so many individuals we need to thank who have been so generous and for such a worthy cause, I apologise if I can't mention you all by name here but thank you so very much to every single person.

Tomorrow the 24th September 2016 Melanie Horstead will be travelling to Senegal. The specific goals of this trip are

1. To meet the villagers of Sioure again, to make sure they are happy with plans for the school build and development of the land for cultivation.

2. To secure the land that we will be building on legally and in accordance with Senegalese law.

3. To analyse the land and undertake further rigorous research so that we can buy the correct irrigator pump for the land and develop the best training package with the farmers so that we can make the most of the land, yield the best and productive crops and therefore create a sustainable school.

Thank you Jane Swain. And thank you so much to the people of Wicker Camp who have been so supportive and a constant source of love and encouragement.

You are all changing lives in this world for the better simply in your support of this project, in which every way that support comes. Thank you X
